Additional Time Tracker
Has your Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke hospital started using the Additional Time Tracker yet? The benefits of IV TPA in acute ischemic stroke are time-dependent and the guidelines recommend a door-to-needle time of ≤60 minutes. Enhanced data collection is available within the Patient Management Tool to help your site track performance on key time targets.
With the ultimate goal of reducing door-to-needle times to 60 minutes or less in eligible ischemic stroke patients, additional time tracker data elements as well as a patient time tracker report have been added to the Patient Management ToolTM (PMT) for all Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke hospitals. This functionality allows your facility to easily see, with just one report, how you are performing on key time targets such as door-to-stroke team notification, door-to-brain image, and door-to-IV tPA time, as well as other important information.
Online Data Entry:
On the Hospitalization tab within the Patient Management Tool you’ll see a new section titled “Additional Time Tracker.” Simply click on the arrow to the right of this section to display all of the time tracker fields. To simplify data entry, if you click on the “Set all active Date/Time fields” button, the patient’s arrival date will be auto-populated in every time tracker field.
Please note: If a patient arrives close to midnight, or if care is significantly delayed, you may need to update the auto-populated date fields to reflect the appropriate date.
